Today was an amazing day. We had discovered the "western" cafe, the day we arrived, and got to know our waitress Sarah. We promised her that we would come back and see her the next day and that they (The Zimmers) would have their little girl with them. Sure enough we went to breakfast this morning, all eight of us, and then we came back at lunch and there with us was this beautiful giggling little girl who played with her fork and knew how to use chopsticks. She had already bonded with her siblings who were begging to sit next to her and she followed her mom around the room with her eyes. She was part of the family now.

Every emotion possible was felt today by this family...words don't seem to do the job these days so I posted as many pictures as I could while trying to keep my eyes open. They are in order from the beginning of the day to the middle of the afternoon. I apologize again, but you do have to scroll all the way down the page to see them. Thanks again for following along.

Rachael, The pictures of the Zimmer family and Faith are incredible! They capture so well the story and emotion of the day. It is amazing to see the change in Faith's expressions and countenance from the time in the notary office until later in the day. We pray that you are blessed and have a wonderful time in China. We look forward to talking to you when you get home.

Rach,
I'm so glad you were able to figure out how to post pictures! These were an incredible glimpse into such a sweet moment in this family's life. Thank you and thank the Zimmers for allowing us to share. Love you.

Mom's tears flowed freely as your photos and words portrayed this "birth" experience, quite incredible! I noticed the pink fingernails and the fact that Faith chose a crayon the same color as her dress to draw with - she likes blue :)
She is a beautiful child and we know the Zimmers will love her to death! Thanks for sharing with us. Each day is very special and we look forward to the next. We hope it is going as well with the other families. I emailed Dr. Bill and Peggy Conrad, who are over in China now with GANSU doing eye surgeries, that you are also in country. Hopefully they will check your blog and perhaps make a comment.

I tried to type a note yesterday about the pictures but I am apparently a novice blogger and had to get a new account today. Anyway, what I wanted to tell you was that I know the Zimmers will treasure the amazing moments you captured of this life changing time in their lives. I can relate as I am forever grateful for the pictures you took of Ann Elise. What a special gift you have given them. My two favorites are of the Mom holding Faith as she looks over her shoulder and the siblings holding her hands. Wow, needless to say chills!!! It made the moment you so beautifully describe very real to us and made you feel not so far away. I am relatively certain you have tons more pictures and I can't wait to see a slide show when you get home. Hugs and kisses. B
